Mike Evans, WR Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rookie Fantasy Spotlight

We’re not sure we even have to write this article. RosterWatch Nation is well aware of our love for Mike Evans. He’s one of the very best wide receiver prospects we have ever scouted. Everything comes effortlessly to Evans on the football field. He’s a natural catcher of the football, with near unlimited range. He’s a gritty leader in the locker room, a no-nonsense enforcer and regulator. We are absolutely certain he will translate to the NFL somewhere in the range of Alshon Jeffery to AJ Green.
Actually, he’s been training this summer with Alshon Jeffery, and Brandon Marshall- in preparation for his rookie connection with new Bucs quarterback, Josh McCown, formerly of the Bears. It made us feel absolutely filthy when he recently said the Bucs receiving corps will be playing “above the rim” this year.
Needless to say, we are enamored with Evans. We already know he was getting extremely sick in rookie minicamps with highlight reel grabs.
He’s been the #1 rookie dynasty receiver on our board since Tampa selected him early in the first round of the NFL Draft, back in May. For re-draft leagues- he’s our second rated rookie receiver right behind Kelvin Benjamin. Evans could reach WR2 status this season, although we’d prefer to draft him as a WR3 in rounds six through eight.
