RosterWatch Week 10 Matchup Tool
Welcome back.
This is a proprietary weekly tool provided by RosterWatch for our PRO community. You can download it as always, or use the new, sortable and user-friendly online version.
It is designed to be a decision-making tool for gauging the defensive opponents your fantasy players face. If you are new to this, our time-tested and most popular flagship in-season tool, the instructions for use couldn’t be simpler, and can be found below.
DO NOT RELY ON “FANTASY POINTS AGAINST” as your primary indicator for player matchups ever again. It is a flawed metric, as you’ll see, which will cause you heartache and struggle.
The rankings represented here are derived via a proprietary algorithm which takes into account not only standard “fantasy points against” metrics, but also (and most importantly) weighted averages and medians of separate individual player and defensive-unit scouting grades for members of the 2018 unit that will be run-stopping, pass-rushing, or covering against the position in question, along with other analytic trends including projected game-script, game-flow, Vegas indicators, volume of total snaps and much, much, more.
…
INSTRUCTIONS:
To use the tool, think about your fantasy player.
Let’s say you own Bengals WR Tyler Boyd, and would like to see how he matches up against the defense he faces this week.
First, look down the list and find the Bengals (Boyd’s team). You will see that the Bengals’ opponent (OPP) is the Saints in Week 10, and there are four color-coded cells in the horizontal columns marked “OPP vs. QBs,” “OPP vs. RBs,” “OPP vs. WRs” and “OPP vs. TEs.”
These are the OPPONENT’S (in this case the Saints’) OFFICIAL ROSTERWATCH MATCHUP RANKINGS AGAINST THESE GIVEN POSITIONS.
AGAIN – They are not the rankings for the Bengals, but rather, for the OPPONENT THEY FACE IN THIS GIVEN WEEK (the Saints). In the “OPP vs. WRs” cell for the Bengals, you’ll notice a big, blue ‘No. 1’. This means Boyd faces our best possible matchup for opposing WRs in Week 8 (the Bucs). This is a great indicator for owners of Boyd and is a positive one for those thinking of rostering him in DFS contests.
Repeat the same process for other players on your roster as you are trying to decide which players to start and which to sit in season-long leagues. Also use it to identify which upside-plays to roster in DFS contests based on matchup.
With the launch of the online tool, you can now sort by any column: vegas line, over/under, and matchup ranks vs. each position for easy reference.
“1″ is the best (easiest) matchup, “32″ is the worst (toughest).
COLOR-CODES
(you like blue matchups best)
BLUE: Best Matchups
LIGHT BLUE: Borderline Top Matchups
WHITE: Neutral Matchups
LIGHT RED: Borderline Bottom Matchups
RED: Worst Matchups

12 team standard (5-4) just got offered a trade. I receive dalvin cook and marvin jones, he gets keenan allen and anthony miller. If I counter with juju and miller is it worth it? Or should I stick with what I have?
My team
QB: Trubisky
WR: Keenan, juju, djax, miller, coutee
RB: Fournette, yeldon, ito, lamar miller, kerryon
TE: OJ howard
Appreciate the advice, thanks RW.
Looks like there was a miscommunication! I would actually be trading juju and lamar miller for cook and marvin. Should I do it?
Nah I’d stick.
Would you trade juju for Ertz ?
I need help at TE
We of mine Keenan Allan, Evans , juju, and sanders
My TE is cook
I’d do it but I think cook is trash.
Hey guys, thanks for all the help this year in both season been long and DFS, the info has been invaluable and lead to a 7-2 season and some small DFS payouts (less than $50.00 per contest). My question for today is i need two wide outs and a flex from Fournette, Evans, MVS, Cobb, Hilton and Tate. As long as Fournette doesn’t have a setback he’s my flex, who should i go with at WR? Thanks again for the help.
Dez signed with the Saints — how much of ones FAAB would you spend for him and will you add him to the rankings? thanks
I wouldn’t go crazy. 15%?
Dynasty league, .5 PPR. Out of it this year so building for future. Been offered a trade and wanted to get your thoughts on if I was getting enough back in the long run for Gordon?
Get: David Johnson and George Kittle
Give: Melvin Gordon
Other RBs are Lindsay, R Freeman, Collins, Ingram, Henry, Thompson and my TE are Reed and McDonald. However, I did just trade Collins and A Cooper for Keenan Allen
How many teams? I’m prolly keeping Gordon.
10 team league
Ok…5-4, 7 point underdog this week with a hurt AJ Green on the bench, forcing me to start trequan smith and DJ moore as my WR 1 and 2 (sanders on bye)
Rest of roster QB is Fitz/Stafford, RB’s are kamara, mack, miller (on bye), crowell/mguire two headed monster, Lat Murray, TE is Kelce.
So…the league is tight, I am second in points, but one game behind 4 other teams and tied in record with another 3 teams at 5-4. So…I am thinking I need a win this week.
TRADE options, looking at the K. Allen OR Mike Evans owner and to trade TO them Green and Miller. Both owners are devoid of decent RB options and I am essentialy giving them the risk of taking on Green and giving them Green in trade for a WR that is of equal value as green. so, long term, they come out ahead by gaining a RB and losing nothing in WR, where I get a solid WR to play this week, and next 9 point in projection.
Downside to this trade is if I “would have gotten a win” anyway, I create a flex position problem for myself by losing Miller.
Should I offer it?
No one taking that nonsense.
Fox River Trouser Trout (7-2 1300+ points scored lol) PPR
Gents I come back to the trough of knowledge and going to break a rule stated this weekend by Byron and for that i am sorry
I am playing my best friend and other 7-2 team
He is riding the Maholmes/Thomas/McCaffrey train
I am in search of three questions as I think a few extra points could be the difference (after beating him by 80 points week 1)
RB2 R.Jones or K.Drake (murray/cook on bye)
Flex T.Boyd (paired with Dalton) or Juju Schuster
Final issue Doyle vs Jax Def or Howard vs Was Def.
ESPN Predictions difference 4.5 point so splitting hairs but those numbers is never something i do as their statisticians seem to lack any football understanding.
Thank you Gents as always

Fellas!! I got a quick trade question. 1pt ppr. I’ve been struggling at RB. I would be giving up Emmanuel Sanders for Sony Michel. Fournette has been killing me so I’ve been rolling with Yeldon/Hyde/Ito/Lindsey. My WRs are Edelman/Hopkins/Valdez/ Dez/Sutton/Anthony Miller. Thoughts…?
Look elsewhere bruh.
Should I pickup Dez or Patterson and drop Watkins? 10-team standard league and I’m in 1st with 7-2 record. My ROS schedule is pretty easy, so looking to prepare my team for a strong playoff run.
QB: Ben
RB: Melvin, Saquon, Connor, Cook, Johnson
WR: TY, Gordon, Sanders, Watkins
TE: Olsen, Njoku
Meh.
Would you trade Deshaun Watson and Goodwin/Sutton for Cam Newton?
If I needed to win this week I would.
Would you start Rivers over Ryan this week?
Yes. Oakland just got beat up by some trash can.
Need a starter for my flex position who listed below would be the better choice.
C Thompson,
A Robinson
Amemdola
Kirk.
Play the song!
?
I love trash is the song lol. Trashman’s theme and it means your options might score but they originated from a trash can that only the Trashman loves.
would play kirk out of those options, GL.
Thank you..
Haha!
Would you start Luck over Roethlisberger this week 10 or pickup A. Smith?
Close call. But for me it’s Luck.
Damn Alex that NO/Goff stack (fade Gurley shhh) won me some mad cash this week. Thanks for all your hard work.
lmao – I just used the lineup that I read on air in cash and sat back and waited on the profits. : ) Let’s do it again this week brother.
T-Bags (3-6) should be (4-5) or better but my commish is a spineless worm plus two bad beats! Who would you rather, John Ross or Anthony Miller next few weeksish as stash PPR. Thank you!
Miller
One more for T-Bags (3-6) 12T/PPR, obviously need a W but 6th playoff spot goes to team with most points. Should I offer Aaron Jones and Valdes Scantling for Saquon B? My WR would be Sanders, Fitz/Kirk, S. Shepard, Ant Miller? Or stick with GB pair? Thanks again T-Man!
Those are exactly the kinds of trades you should be offering. It would be a home run if your trade partner accepts.
Big Ben , wentz, fitz magic
List in order u like
1 Point PPR
Need 2 RBs and a Flex:
David Johnson
J. Howard
D. Lewis
L.Fournette
M. Ingram
T. Lockett
M. Goodwin
standard lg need a flex k.johnson or T.Y this week ? thanks RW
Is this an EGREGIOUS trade? I’m in first place and traded with the last place team to get Robert Woods (who still has a bye and will be sat for the last three weeks of the season due to clinching) for Austin Hooper and Mike Davis – both which are an upgrade for the last place team? The second place team, which is the commish, lobbied the entire league and blasted me as a cheater essentially. I ge three weeks from Woods and they get 6 weeks of Hooper and Davis, is this unfair?
AJ GREEN out and E SANDERS on a bye,,, leaves me one of these 3 players in my flex—–1 pt PPR—–K Drake……Corey Davis ……or Allen Robinson?????
Trying to beat our league’s trade deadline . . . 10 team league, 1 point PPR, should I trade Adam Thielen for James White?
stressin out like a mad man!!
Alex, Byron, Maniachal Trashman… hook me up!!
Playing the second place team this week and i’m in 1st place. He’s got an easy road ahead and im playing all the top scoring teams.
who do i start at qb and flex?
.5 PPR 1qb
STARTING LINEUP
russel wilson Bench is carson wentz
Josh Gordon and Calvin Ridley
Alvin Kamara and Tevin Coleman
Ertz
Tyler Lockett and Adrian Peterson.
my flex options are Christian Kirk, Corey Davis, Ito Smith, Antonio Callaway, and just for kicks, Taysom Hill.
Whats the play fellas???
I have Stafford, E Manning & M Mariota available what do I do?
Whats your opinion on these three this week and rest of season?
Doyle, Ebron, Engram
Also, with D. Slay out whom do you think benefits the most for DFS?
