The Garbage Grab: Week 11
The Garbage Grab: Week 11
Dorian “The Trashman” Colbert, Rosterwatch.com
This week’s dumpster diamonds are some of my ugliest picks yet. I hope that doesn’t scare you.
Cedric Peerman RB, Bengals: He’s a bit of a longshot, but Peerman’s carries will increase going forward according to Bengals OC Jay Gruden. Perhaps this news bodes worse for Benjarvus Green-Ellis than it does well for Peerman, but this is the Garbage Grab, what do you expect?
Alshon Jeffery WR, Bears: The good news is that it looks as if Jeffery is returning this week for a prime time bout with the 49ers. The bad news is that Jay Cutler won’t be his quarterback. Jason Campbell has always been respectable under center, but he hasn’t seen starter’s snaps in some time and San Francisco is not the team to come back into action against. Still, Jeffery will be a great red zone target, should the Bears get close to it.
Lance Dunbar RB, Cowboys: DeMarco Murray isn’t going to play this week, Leaving Felix Jones and Lance Dunbar to handle the load against Cleveland. Jones is already owned in your league no doubt, but Dunbar is most definitely not. He rotated carries with Jones last week, so he will get action. Do you feel lucky?
Sam Bradford QB, Rams: Sam Bradford is thanking his lucky stars that Danny Amendola is back in the fold. He makes him look like a real quarterback. And he makes him a viable fantasy quarterback on some weeks. This is one of them.
Mohamed Sanu WR, Bengals: Sanu’s arrow is pointing up in the Bengals offense, as he tallied 47 yards and a touchdown against the Giants. He’s the new hotness in Cincinnati, but who knows for how long? A possession monster in college, Sanu has the sure hands and good size that could elevate him to fantasy relevancy sooner than you think. Like this week. Slot WR Andrew Hawkins appears very iffy to go and with rookie Marvin Jones still battling his knee injury, Sanu is the logical choice to benefit from the possible added production.
Tony Moeaki TE, Chiefs: He led the Chiefs in receiving on Monday Night Football last week. Chances are he won’t do it again, but he’s definitely worth consideration if you’re looking for a fill in.
Chris Ivory RB, Saints: Ivory runs with the power and pure abandon of few other backs in this league not named Adrian Peterson. He’s no phenomenon, but the Saints know they have a talent on their hands, and they aren’t afraid to use him. He’ll split carries with, well every other back on the team, but he makes his yards count. He’s worth flex consideration.
