PRO Trashman’s 2018 Week 9 Flex Rankings: RB, WR, TE

Trashman HeaderOften times, there is nothing tougher (or more important) than deciding who your weekly flex-plays are. It can be a mind-numbing experience having to make cross-positional projections.

This season, our RosterWatch PRO community will have personal and exclusive access to our very own disgusting Trashman, who has carefully curated his personal weekly flex rankings in order to help you in gaining input about your roster decisions.

PLEASE Keep in mind, these are not our official RosterWatch Week 9 rankings, but we’ve learned over time to pay extra-special attention to what the Trashman might have up his filthy sleeve – and where he stacks up players against one another for the coming weekend’s slate cross-positionally.

Our OFFICIAL rankings page here on the site will continue to be updated through the day Saturday and Sunday morning as more information comes in and we become more comfortable with player slotting. In the meantime, have a look at how the Trashman sees the Week 9 slate shaking out – as his inputs to our formula are a key (albeit disgusting) component.

    Trade Offer: I give up Conner, Aaron Jones and amari cooper and get kamara.
    Right now Conner is my only starter of the 3 I would be giving up. I still have yeldon and Collins on my bench as back ups.

      that is a fine trade if Conner is the only starter you are getting rid of. These are the types of 2 and 3 for 1’s we need to be trying to get done right now when we get the best player. You also get the added bonus of no more worries about Bell coming back to swindle Conner at some point.

    Need some advice guys, on waiver slash who to start. I have Gurley, Mixon and Ekeler at RB. Nuk, Davante, Alshon, Babytron, ARob, and Kirk at WR. Just saw Fitzgerald and Sutton are available as well.as Jalen Richard. Do I grab a WR and roll with Ekeler this week, or go for Richard and start him. Thanks guys

    In quite a pickle this week. I’m in a 12 team league with extremely high scoring (a great week is 400-500 points). I’m currently second to last by a lot and down thousands of dollars in sidebets. I need some help. You get SIGNIFICANTLY more points for longer TDs. Here is the basic scoring you need to know:

    Receptions = 2 pts
    1-20 yd TD = 15 pts
    21-40 yd TD = 30 pts
    41-60 yd TD = 45 pts
    61-80 yd TD = 60 pts
    81+ yd TD = 75 pts

    You get 5 points for every 20 combined rushing/receiving yards, starting at 50 yards (you get 0 pts for yardage if your player doesn’t get 50 total yards).

    Having said that, this is where I need help: I have to fill ONE (1) RB slots, TWO (2) WR slots, and ONE (1) Flex spot with the following players:

    Cooper, C. Davis, Crowell, L. Miller, Goodwin, Golladay.

    Please provide some input and reasoning! Thank you!

    Thanks for the Flex listing, helps enormously. Though I hope you can answer a waiver question. In a PPR league, would you favor Tre’Quan Smith or Christian Kirk rest of season? Already have DJ Moore, worry Smith is more volatile (like Moore) when Kirk will get more targets. Appreciate your advice!

    I’ve got Herndon, Dickson, and Andrews to choose from. My initial thought is to play Herndon. The Jets have no one else to throw to. But Dickson has the better QB who also has a penchant for targeting TEs in the RZ.
    Andrews I’m only considering because of the matchup.

    (Also wondering if Deontay Burnett is worth a PPR stash? College teammate of Darnold. Is that enough to keep him relevant for the rest of the year?)

      i think they have similar td odds, but Herndon stands to get more targets in general. Burnett, could have some good weeks, but i don’t see him being consistent enough to keep around

    .5PPR — would you start Kerryon over Sutton? Also is JUJU worth starting over Sutton. JuJu seems to have fallen from grace and they are @ the Ravens. Oh no Ben!

      yes, and there’s an argument for sutton over juju, but would you start demaryius over juju when he was a bronco? they still have the same qb.

    What lineup for rest of season for standard league ? I can’t seem to make a trade by dealing away a 3 for 1 combo of Chubb, Mack, KJ or Golladay for a stud receiver. So thinking about dealing Saquan for AB or Thielen strait up. I have lots of RB depth and can only start 2.

    RW RB rankings have four of my RB’s ranked 9th-12th…can’t really screw up i guess.
    love chubb’s match-up (KC) but fear game script will limit chubb’s output.

    At this point in the season would you drop Marquise Goodwin for Spencer Ware to handcuff Kareem Hunt? (have 4 receivers I’d play over him in .5 PPR but 2 wr and 2 flex spots)

      i would & have…grabbed s.ware in leagues i have k.hunt.
      if hunt goes down sunday, without waiver priority it’ll be too late or the FAAB cost too high.
      i always H/C my RB1 & try for my RB2 as well at week 13, going into the playoffs.
      my $0.02.

      It’s close, the industry just still hasn’t really caught on to the potential Jamaal Williams uptick, yet. It may or may not happen. Obv not a ton of volume for Ito, that’s just a 2RB situation folks are more familiar / comfortable with.

    I have Keenan, Baldwin, Sutton, and Trequan (Odell is on Bye). Per your trashy flex rankings Tre’quan would sit. My question is, would it be crazy to sit Baldwin and play Tre’quan? I have a feeling he will be all in Trashmans garbage grab this week and I want to make sure I fire him up on time. Thoughts? My other Starters are Brees, Melvin G or Austin E, Aaron Jones and Tre Burton (Ertz on bye).

    Team name Takin out the trash 4-4. Brees or Fitz this week? My opponent has Evans and Barber in his lineup so I was thinking that any points they get in passing I also get some. Same with tds to them if I start Fitz. What do you think? 10 team, Full point PPR. 6 points for tds.
    I also have a decision. My receivers are landry, juju, Keenan and Tyreek. I can start three. I also have DJ Moore who has a fine matchup vs Tampa. So I was gonna go hill, Landry and DJ Moore.
    My RBs are Elliot, Chubb, murray and Aaron Jones. I can start 2 ( Elliot and who?).
    One flex starter from the remaining players.
    Because cook May be back for Minny, I was gonna go Chubb as my rb2.
    Who would you flex? One of my receivers or RBs? I was all in on Murray but with the cook news thinking Keenan Allen. Shuster has a tough matchup. I could also go Jones as a flex.
    My opponent had kittle and Nelson for a total of 26 points on Thursday. He has Brady, Woods, Evans and Julio. His RBs are Dion Lewis and barber.
    Your advice trash?

      I agree about chubb in the 2 spot. Allen definitely needs to be in the lineup. For me the flex argument is between jones and juju. If you feel like you really need the upside juju is worth the risk
