PRO Week 8 Touchdown Dependency % + Added Metrics (Top 200 RB/WR)

An old standby of RosterWatch Nation are Touchdown Dependency metrics. Every season, we begin tracking these in Week 4, and the numbers are in for Week 8

Overly touchdown-dependent players offer unsustainable and unpredictable long-term production.

These players are good candidates to sell high on in our season long leagues. And, are players to consider fading in our DFS lineups.

        Agreed I think – but a little worried about Riddick and Ebron’s return- would temper expectations a little.

          Exactly. Tate’s resurgence came during the games Riddick was out. Added to the tough match up, I’m concerned about regression. I’m just not sure would be a better choice.

    In a RB pickle….

    Lost CJA (Had Gillislee backing Shady, didn’t have Booker). Who is the best option in PPR this week and maybe near future: Kadeem Carey, Rob Kelley, Maori Bibbs, or Al Blue? Some cockamamie but we’re duct taking our ship… Thanks fellas.

      I like Bob Kelly. Jones missed practice this week and he may even miss the game this weekend. Regardless I expect a bigger workload for Bob. Heck Matt Jones might have fumbled the job away. With a good game, Kelley maybe the GUY moving forward.

        Agree w/ the Great, it would take a lot to win the job outright, but Kelley is a player they’ve said the team has looked for reasons to get off the roster and he’s surprised at every turn. Maybe he’ll surprise them with a good game but it’s not the best matchup.

    I am really torn here. I am in a ppr dynasty league. I am in currently 4-3 and loaded at wr, but in desperate need for a rb. I would give Amari Cooper and Chris Thompson and receive Jay Ajayi and Jarvis Landry. I try to avoid giving up the best player in any deal. Please advise. Thanks

      Make the deal. Sometimes you have to make concessions at one position to get better at another. But I don’t really see it that way. Cooper and Landry are very close in PPR. And you are getting Jay! I don’t usually play dynasty, but if I did Jay would be on my team.

          I believe you need a WR updgrade more than TE. Do the Cam for Evans if the guy will accept it… But don’t accept anything less for Cam than a WR1. I believe Newton is going to finish the year very strong.

          If he won’t give you Evans then I would still go for the other deal. Olson has one of highest floors of any pass catcher in the league.

    Alex – got a trade question for you. I’m in a 10 team keeper league. We can keep up to 3 players each year (auction draft so don’t need to worry about draft rounds). Guy is offering to trade Christine Michael for Ty Montgomery and Derrick Henry. I have Henry & Montgomery. My team is 1-6 so my season is most likely over. Looking for keeper values now. Should I keep Henry/Montgomery in hopes that Henry breaks out if/when Murray gets hurt and is a great keeper value going forward. Michael would obviously help me out in the next few weeks but worried about Rawls returning. My WR group is thin (I have Gurly/D Johnson at RB already) so i’m not hurting for RBs either. Thanks in advance.

      I think you have to win this week and Michael can help with that. It’s a fair enough offer and it’s getting close to time to make these sorts of moves. Like DH’s keeper value better, so it’s what you think your chances are of winning out at this time. If you think you have even a 10% chance, you have to go out guns blazing.

    I’m sure you guys are sick of me asking about this team but it’s my biggest money league and after losing CJ and missing on Booker, as well as losing Matt Jones this weekend and having to drop guys like Smith Sr & Britt because of bye weeks and limited roster space I could really use some guidance here.

    I currently have one open roster spot after moving Anderson to IR so I was thinking of adding McManus with that free spot instead of dropping Tucker for a Kicker? Both Anderson and Jones now qualify for the IR spot but I’m not sure if I should be dropping either of them? Also this league runs through week 17 as much as I hate it but thought it’s important to note regarding CJ’s timeline and his possible return?

    Also, someone just dropped Howard for Britt so he’s available as well as: Bibbs, Coates, Smith Sr., Langford, Powell, Floyd, C. Coleman, T. Austin, Dixon, Forsett, Zenner and even D. Will to name a few… so what moves should I make here and as I’m about to faces the likes of Gronk, Julio, Brady, Edelman, Ware, and even J. Rodgers who you have ranked high this week!

      Don’t ever keep kickers in binds like this, get Jordan Howard on your roster. People are bailing too early on him. His valuable may not be sky-high at this exact moment, but he still needs to be owned in a 10-teamer.
